Terms

Terms.

These are the terms you're agreeing to when you book a session, take a place on the course, or join a Monday Moment. We've kept them as plain as we can.

If anything here isn't clear, email join@moment.ing and ask before you book.

Who we are.

Momenting is run by Charles Talbot, trading as New Leaf OT.

Charles is an occupational therapist registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), a member of the Royal College of Occupational Therapists (RCOT), and a member of BAMBA, the British Association of Mindfulness-Based Approaches.

You can reach us at join@moment.ing. A postal address is available on request.

Where these terms say "we" or "us", that means New Leaf OT. "You" means the person booking.

This is not a crisis or emergency service.

Please read this part even if you skip the rest.

Nothing here is an emergency service. Email is not monitored around the clock, and there is no on-call cover between sessions.

  • If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call 999.
  • If you need help urgently but it is not an emergency, contact your GP, or call NHS 111.
  • Samaritans are there day and night, free, on 116 123.

The course and one-to-one sessions are not a replacement for medical care, mental health treatment, or the support of your own clinical team. They sit alongside those things.

They are also not right for everyone. The course page and the one-to-one page describe who this work is for, and who it isn't for. Please read them. If you're unsure, book a free chat and we will work it out together, honestly, before you pay anything.

Bookings and payment.

Prices are in pounds sterling and include any tax that applies. A one-to-one session is £115 for sixty minutes. The eight-week course is £395 in total. In-person work outside the area carries travel at £50 an hour, agreed with you before you book.

Payments are taken by Stripe. You can pay in full, or split the cost into interest-free instalments with Klarna at checkout where that option is offered. A Klarna plan is a separate agreement between you and Klarna, on their terms.

Your place is confirmed once payment has been received. Scheduling is handled by Calendly, and joining details come to you by email, so please give an address you actually read, and have a look in your spam folder if nothing arrives.

Sessions and the course run on Zoom unless we have agreed to meet in person.

A sliding scale is available for people on lower incomes. Ask before you book.

Changing or cancelling.

Notice periods, refunds, transfers between cohorts, and how a Klarna plan is adjusted are all set out on the refunds and cancellations page. That page forms part of these terms.

Occasionally we may need to move a session or a course date, usually because of illness. If that happens we will offer you an alternative time, or a full refund if none of the alternatives work for you.

Your part.

Give us accurate details when you book, and let us know if your contact details change.

Tell us what we would reasonably need to know to support you safely. That means relevant health conditions, medication, and anything happening for you that could affect the work. You choose what to share, and we will treat it in confidence, but we can only work with what we know.

On the course, please treat the other nine people with the same care you would want. What is shared in the group stays in the group. Sessions and course meetings must not be recorded without asking first.

We can't guarantee outcomes. This work helps a great many people, and it does not help everyone in the same way or on the same timescale. What we promise is care, attention, and honesty about whether it is the right fit for you.

What belongs to whom.

The writing, illustrations, course materials, handouts, videos, guided meditations, and the book Mindfulness-Informed Fatigue Management belong to Charles Talbot and New Leaf OT, or are used with permission.

You are welcome to use anything we give you for your own personal practice, for as long as you like. Print it, write on it, take it to your GP or your therapist.

What you may not do is copy it, publish it, redistribute it, resell it, or teach from it as though it were yours.

If you would like to use some of it in your own work, ask. We are not precious about it. We would just like to know.

Liability.

We will provide our services with reasonable care and skill, as the law requires.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot be limited or excluded by law.

Beyond that, our liability to you is limited to the amount you have paid us for the service in question.

We are not liable for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when you booked, or for problems caused by things outside our reasonable control, such as an internet or platform outage.

Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected by anything on this page.

Governing law.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute.

If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in the courts of the country you live in.

Changes to these terms.

We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page when you book is the version that applies to that booking. The date at the top tells you when it last changed.
